What hairDose is
hairDose is a marketplace. We list salons, spas, barbershops, nail studios, tattoo artists and independent professionals, and we let you book a time with them. The appointment itself is between you and that business.
We do not cut hair and we do not take your money. The venue provides the service and sets the price. You pay the venue directly, by UPI or a payment link they send you. hairDose is not a party to that payment and never holds your funds.
Because of that, a complaint about the service you received, the price you were charged, or a refund of what you paid is between you and the venue. We will help — see cancellations and refunds — but we cannot reverse a payment we never received.
Using an account
You need to be 18 or older. Sign-up needs a working phone number, because that is how we verify it is you and how a venue reaches you about an appointment.
Keep your account to yourself. Anything done from it is treated as done by you. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got in.
Give us details that are true. A booking made under a false name or an unreachable number wastes a chair the venue could have sold, and repeated no-shows may cost you the ability to book.
Bookings
When you book, you are asking the venue to hold a time. Some venues confirm automatically; others confirm by hand. The booking is real once it shows as confirmed.
The price shown is the venue's listed price for that service. The final bill can differ — a longer treatment than expected, an add-on you agreed to on the chair, a length or thickness surcharge. The venue should tell you before doing it. If they did not, raise it with them first, and with us if that goes nowhere.
Turn up on time. A venue may release your slot if you are significantly late, and several no-shows in a row may restrict your account.
Home and on-location services
Some professionals travel to you. If you book one, you are inviting someone into your home, so a few things apply.
Give an accurate address and be there. You may add emergency contacts and share your live location for the duration of the visit — we strongly suggest you do. There is a help button in the app during a home visit; use it if you feel unsafe, and call local emergency services if the situation warrants it. hairDose is not an emergency service and cannot dispatch help.
Reviews, photos and posts
Review a place you actually visited, and describe what happened. Do not post someone else's photos, anyone's personal details, or abuse. The full rules are in the community guidelines.
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it you give us permission to show it on hairDose and to use it to promote the platform — for example, a look you shared appearing in a feed or a campaign. You can withdraw that by deleting the post, though copies already printed or scheduled may take time to fall out of circulation.
We may remove content that breaks the guidelines or the law, and we may suspend accounts that keep doing it. Where we remove something you posted, we will tell you why and you can contest it.
What venues publish
Prices, photos, service lists and opening hours come from the venues. We do not verify every claim on every listing. Where we mark a venue or a professional as verified, that means we checked the specific thing the badge names — identity documents, for instance — and nothing beyond it.
If a listing is wrong, tell us and we will take it up with the venue.
What we are responsible for
We are responsible for running hairDose with reasonable care: keeping it available, keeping your data as described in the privacy policy, and acting when you report a problem.
We are not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of a service a venue performs, for an injury or a reaction arising from it, for a venue cancelling on you, or for a dispute about money you paid a venue directly. Those sit with the business that served you.
Nothing here limits a liability that Indian law does not allow us to limit — including for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or for fraud.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, harms other users or venues, or is being used fraudulently. Where we can, we will warn you first and explain what went wrong.
Changes to these terms
We will post changes here with a new date at the top. If a change matters to you — a new obligation, a new charge — we will tell you before it takes effect rather than letting you discover it.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause takes away a right you have under consumer protection law to bring a complaint where you live.
